In the framework of the exchange of international experiences for the protection of whistleblowers, the Kosovo delegation headed by the Director of the APK Yll Buleshkaj, stayed for a study visit to Ireland where it was received by the leaders of the counterpart institutions specialized in the protection of whistleblowers and mechanisms for prevention and fighting corruption.

The visit of the Kosovo delegation to Ireland aims to deepen cooperation and exchange practical experiences on internal procedures and the functioning of whistleblower reporting channels and also to exchange knowledge on internal procedures and the functioning of safe whistleblower reporting channels.

The delegation from Kosovo held meetings with representatives of the Irish Police Ombudsman, representatives of Maynooth University and the European Institute of Whistleblower Protection as well as representatives of justice institutions for the exchange of experiences and knowledge regarding the actions in the investigative procedures of the received reports. by the responsible officials.

During the visit to Ireland, the delegation from Kosovo also held meetings with representatives of Transparency International in Ireland where they discussed the legal and institutional framework for the protection of whistleblowers and the implementation of effective norms in the process of administering whistleblowing cases and the cooperation of institutions with the non-governmental sector. – governmental.

Representatives from APK, Ministry of Justice, Kosovo Police, Basic Court, Chamber of Commerce, representatives from the Private Sector and representatives of the PECK III Project are participating in the study visit to Ireland.
