Pristina, September 15, 2025 – A delegation from the Kosovo Agency for Prevention of
Corruption (APC), led by Director Yll Buleshkaj, conducted a working visit to the Italian
National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC) in Rome. This visit marks an important step in
deepening the strategic cooperation between the two institutions and in exchanging best
practices in the field of corruption prevention.
The APC delegation was hosted by ANAC President, Dr. Giuseppe Busia, along with Dr.
Giuseppe Abbatino and Ms. Lorenza Ponzone, Head of International Relations.
During the meeting, a range of topics of mutual interest were discussed, including:
The use of risk assessment and data analytics to identify and prevent corrupt acts.
Mechanisms for increasing transparency and integrity in public procurement.
Institutional capacity building and inter-agency cooperation.
The development of a strategic partnership for future joint activities, such as
technical assistance, expert secondments, and potential donor-funded initiatives.
President Busia, while valuing the work of the APC, expressed ANAC’s readiness to start
work towards signing a Memorandum of Understanding that will list specific fields of
collaboration. Until this Memorandum is finalized, ANAC will continue to support the APC in
benefiting from existing anti-corruption networks.
The APC expresses its gratitude to the OSCE Mission in Kosovo for their continuous support
and for making this important visit possible.
