The Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Yll Buleshkaj, is participating in the Regional Workshop for the Development of Effective Investment Control Mechanisms in the Western Balkans that is being held in Prague, Czech Republic. This workshop is organized by the Trade Law Development Program (CLDP) of the US Department of Commerce in coordination with the US Department of Commerce, the US Department of State, the US Department of the Treasury, the US Embassy in Prague, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Czech Republic.
Some of the topics covered in this workshop are: The importance of protecting key assets, technology, infrastructure and data; European and International Cooperation in Investment Control; US Investment Review Mechanism; Sectoral dimensions of the Czech investment screening system; Implications of the EU Scrutiny Mechanism on the Legislation and Practice of individual Member States, and the like.
