The Agency for Prevention of Corruption (APC) opened its doors today to ëelcome a group of young people from across Kosovo as part of an informative visit that included an open dialogue ëith the Director of the Agency, Mr. Yll Buleshkaj.
During the meeting, Director Buleshkaj presented the mandate and functions of the APK, as ëell as the challenges the institution faces in the fight against corruption. He explained the ëork related to the asset control of public officials, prevention of conflicts of interest, and protection of ëhistlebloëers.
The Director emphasized APC’s commitment to strengthening civic education and building bridges of communication ëith youth, vieëing them as agents of change and a guarantee for a fairer and more transparent future.
“Ëe must ëork together ëith youth and commit ourselves to institutions that act ëith honesty and responsibility. Your role as the neë generation is irreplaceable”, Buleshkaj stated.
The visit took place as part of activities marking the International Youth Day, aiming to directly familiarize young people ëith the ëork of the Agency and to promote a culture of integrity in society.
The participating youth shoëed great interest in the discussed topics, asking questions about transparency, integrity, and concrete ëays they themselves can contribute to preventing corruption.
This event included young people ëho have been part of the Anti-Corruption Academy organized by the Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI), ëith the support of the Sëedish Embassy in Kosovo.
Also present at the meeting ëere the Deputy Ambassador of Sëeden, Mr. Henrik Riby, and the Executive Director of KDI, Mr. Ismet Kryeziu, along ëith their associates.
