Agency for Prevention of Corruption announces that the regular annual asset declaration process for the 2025 calendar year (January 1 – December 31, 2025) has been progressing intensively since its opening, while the legal deadline for completing this process remains March 31, 2026.
At this stage of the process, 2,876 declaring subjects have completed the regular annual asset declaration, while a considerable number are in the process of completing the electronic form. According to current data, 1,964 officials have started the declaration and are still in progress, while the remaining declaring subjects have not yet begun fulfilling this legal obligation.
According to the latest updates made today in the system, the total number of declaring subjects subject to this obligation in the Republic of Kosovo for this cycle is 10,353 high public officials.
In accordance with the Law on Declaration, Origin and Control of Assets and Gifts, all officials subject to this obligation are required to complete the declaration within the legally prescribed deadline.
Agency for Prevention of Corruption once again calls on all officials who have not yet completed their declarations to fulfill this obligation as soon as possible, within the legal deadline, contributing to strengthening transparency and institutional integrity.
“Declaring assets within the legal deadline is a key element in building public trust and strengthening the culture of integrity in the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo,” said the Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, Mr. Yll Buleshkaj.
The Agency reminds that failure to declare within the deadline, delays, or inaccurate declarations constitute violations of legal obligations and are sanctioned in accordance with the applicable legislation. Sanctions include fines, criminal charges, and other legal measures, while in certain cases imprisonment and confiscation of undeclared assets may also be imposed.
