Just a Few Days Left Until the Final Deadline, Thousands of Officials Actively Declaring Assets

Pristina, 25 March 2026

The annual regular asset declaration process for the calendar year 2025 is entering its most dynamic phase, as the legal deadline for its completion, 31 March 2026, approaches.

The Agency for Prevention of Corruption announces that, according to updated data as of 25 March 2026 (midday), a total of 4,860 public officials, or 46.94%, have already completed their asset declarations. At the same time, 2,088 officials (20.17%) are currently in the process of completing their declarations, indicating increased engagement in the final days before the deadline.

Meanwhile, 3,405 public officials (32.89%) have not yet started fulfilling this legal obligation.

In total, 10,353 public officials are required to declare their assets for this declaration cycle, by the end of the day on 31 March 2026.

These figures show that a considerable portion of declarants have already taken action or are actively engaged in the declaration process, while it remains important for the remaining officials to fulfill this obligation within the prescribed deadline.

The Agency for Prevention of Corruption assesses that the process is being carried out in accordance with legal procedures and at an increasing pace, while in this final phase the emphasis remains on timely compliance by all public officials.

“The Agency for Prevention of Corruption calls on all public officials to fulfill their legal obligation to declare assets within the prescribed deadline. Transparency is not only a legal requirement, but also the foundation of public trust and institutional integrity. Therefore, it is important that each individual, within their responsibilities, contributes to a more open and accountable administration,” emphasized the Director of the APC, Mr. Yll Buleshkaj.

The Agency reminds that failure to declare, late declaration, or inaccurate declaration of assets constitutes a violation of legal obligations and is subject to fines, criminal charges, and other measures. In certain cases, penalties may also include imprisonment and confiscation of undeclared assets.
